Double Imperial Stout BREWED SINCE: 2009 ABV: 10.0% FERMENTATION: Ale yeast, four varieties of malts, two varieties of hops, natural chocolate, roasted coffee, barley flakes COLOR: Opaque, very dark brown EFFERVESCENCE: Lightly carbonated NOSE: Rich coffee, syrupy chocolate, toasty malts FLAVOR: Cocoa nibs, bittersweet, espresso, roasted malts, balancing sweet and bitterness BITTERNESS: Medium BODY: Thick, heavier-bodied SERVING TEMPERATURE: 48°F GLASS: Tulip glass, snifter, oversized wine glass AVAILABILITY: April release / 22oz / 1/6 keg CELLARING: 35-40°F HEAD: Khaki colour. 1 finger wide. Not as smooth or even as would be ideal. The consistency isn't too creamy or soft-looking either. It's not particularly full, thick, or supple. Could use some fine-tuning. The complexion is pretty nice. Recedes fully within 2 minutes, leaving no lacing. BODY: Opaque solid black.
